Q. Where are you located?

A. Chimayo is 27 Miles north of Santa Fe, 50 miles south of Taos, 9 miles east of Espanola, and 30 miles northeast of Los Alamos in the heart of Northern New Mexico. We are located on the scenic route between Santa Fe and Taos known as "The High Road to Taos". North of Santa Fe on Highway 285 take State Road 503 to your right, past Pojoaque Pueblo. Continue on SR 503 past Nambe Pueblo to County Road 98/Juan Medina Rd. Take a left on 503 and continue approximately 3 miles. Near the junction of CR 503 and State Road 76 you will see "Galeria Ortega" and "Ortega’s Weaving Shop" on your left. The High road to Taos will continue to the right on State Road 76. Please refer to the map on the home page.

Q. Are you a part of Ortega's Weaving Shop?

A. No - "Ortega’s Weaving Shop" and "Galeria Ortega" are separate companies owned by two seventh generation Ortega brothers.

Q. Do you sell Ortega’s weavings?

A. No - you must contact "Ortega’s Weaving Shop" to purchase the 100% woven products. You can call them at 877-351-4215, or visit their website at www.ortegasdechimayo.com.

Q. How do I order from Galeria Ortega?

A. You can look at the products on the web-site, print out the order form, then either call, e-mail, or fax us your order. If you have any questions about additional products or are looking for something specific you can call or e-mail us and we will do our best to accomodate you.
